Huntington School

With the forecast indicating high temperatures again for the rest of this week (30 degrees+), we have taken the decision to allow students to attend school in either: Full school uniform (this must include smart school shoes and tie, but no need to wear a jumper) OR Full school PE kit (including trainers, not crocs) - for guidance, this is whatever has been previously agreed with their PE teacher and is therefore acceptable kit for lessons. Nike Pro style shorts are not acceptable PE kit. We would be grateful if you could encourage your child/ren to stay well hydrated. They must ensure that all water bottles are full when they arrive in school, are only refilled when empty, and to do this outside of lesson time (before school, at break and at lunchtime) to avoid disruption to learning. These arrangements will be in place for the remainder of the week, beginning tomorrow, and students have already been asked to wear school PE kit for the end of year celebration day on Friday. The forecast is showing cooler temperatures for next week, so we will return to normal summer uniform from Monday 13th July. If the forecast changes significantly we will be in touch again. Year 10 - with work experience happening next week, you may wish to donate any school jumpers that your child is growing out of. There will be crates at the green gate for them to drop them off as they come into school tomorrow and Friday. Thank you in advance for helping to make our school more sustainable!
